One of several players signing a first professional contract this summer, defender Ben Drake has progressed right through the club's academy and enjoyed a solid year in the club's Under 18s last season.

Able to play left-back or in a back three as a centre-back, Drake has a wand of a left-foot and a deadly set-piece delivery, and this season will step up permanently to the Under 21s set up.
