The versatile Brandon Ly can play both defence and midfield but was largely used in the latter during his first season as a scholar.

Able to make late runs into the box, as he showed with his first Under 18s goal at Coventry City, Ly's composure on the ball and reading of the game makes him a solid presence in the midfield.
