Forward Alyssa Aherne joined United on a permanent basis in the summer of 2025 after a season-long loan with the Blades during the 2024/25 campaign.

Aherne made eight appearances after recovering from a pre-season injury, scoring on her debut against Crystal Palace in the Adobe Women's FA Cup, and now makes the move a permanent one.

Formerly a product of the Manchester United academy, Aherne scored twice in an FA Youth Cup final win and made her senior debut against the Blades back in December 2022.
