Versatile midfielder Jay Tinsdale, who can also play at left full-back, arrived at United towards the end of the 2023 summer transfer window out of Bradford City's academy.

Tinsdale immediately impressed, first in midfield and then more regularly as a full-back in the Under 21s, but after returning from injury last season, Tinsdale suffered an ACL and MCL injury which will keep him out for the foreseeable future.
