Left full-back Harry McGlinchey joined United at the end of the 2026 January transfer window after a four-year stint at Chelsea.

McGlinchey joined the Premier League giants at Under 14s level after a spell on the south coast at Plymouth Argyle and his performances saw him rise through the ranks to the club's Under 21s, as well as becoming a regular at youth team level for the Republic of Ireland, before joining the Blades ahead the second half of the 2025/26 campaign.
