Versatile defender Zain Tahir enjoyed an excellent first year of his scholarship, shining for the under 18s and then regularly stepping up to the under 21s towards the end of the season.

Able to play on the left side of a back three or as a left wing-back, Tahir's consistency at both levels was impressive ahead of the second year of his scholarship.
