Versatile forward Riley McLachlan joined the club from Emley AFC ahead of the 2023/24 season after impressing for the non-league side at academy level, including the FA Youth Cup, and made an impact with his quality and non-stop running for United's Under 18s, where last season he became a regular presence in the attack and on occasion stepped up to play at Under 21s level despite being a first-year scholar.
