Chong arrived at Bramall Lane in August 2025 and was thrust straight into the action for his league debut after arriving on a deal until 2029, with the Blades paying Luton Town an undisclosed for the services of the former Manchester United man.

Prior to his stint at Old Trafford as a youngster, Chong progressed through the youth system at Feyenoord and enjoyed loan spells with Werder Bremen and Club Brugges, before establishing himself in the EFL with Birmingham City.
