United dipped into the Bulgarian market again to secure the signature of highly rated prospect Polendakov in July 2025.

United paid Septemvri Sofia an undisclosed fee for the Bulgarian youth international's services, with Polendakov having had trials with Red Bull Salzburg in 2024.

Having progressed through DIT Sofia Academy, the defender made his professional debut at the age of just 15, penning his first professional contract shortly afterwards.
