Born in Amsterdam and raised in their coveted Academy, Hoever was United's first signing of the 2026 winter transfer window, joining on-loan from Wolves until the end of the season, making his debut in the defeat at Southampton shortly afterwards.

The wing-back, who has represented the Netherlands within various age groups, moved to England in 2019 when signing for Liverpool and after his switch to Molineux, he has enjoyed successful loan spells with Stoke City and Auxerre.
