Yorkshireman Phillips, who has played 31 times for England, agreed a loan until the end of the season from Manchester City on deadline day in February 2026.

The midfielder who starred for his country in Euro 2020, made his debut against Middlesbrough and started the move for Patrick Bamford's goal.

Nicknamed the Yorkshire Piro during a 200 plus appearance spell at his hometown club, Leeds United, Phillips was signed by Pep Guardiola in July 2022 and has most recently had loan spells in the top-flight with West Ham United and Ipswich Town.
