United added a powerful defender with World Cup and Premier League experience to the ranks when they secured the services of Souttar on a season-long from Leicester City.

Born in Scotland, Souttar played his youth football for his boyhood club Brechin City and was briefly attached to Celtic prior to join the ranks at Dundee United alongside his brother John.

The imposing defender made his move to England in 2016, penning a three-year deal at Stoke City.

Loan stints with Ross County and Fleetwood Town aided his development and his excellent form in the Potteries saw him become a regular for Australia, prior to making the move to the King Power Stadium in January 2023.
