Chris Wilder acknowledged the concession of two goals in the first six minutes proved costly in Monday's Premier League opener against Wolves.

Raul Jimenez and Romain Saiss put the visitors in the ascendency at Bramall Lane, but the Blades boss praised the response of his players and felt on another day his side could have forced their way back into contention.

The attitude and character from his side was also noticed by the United manager, who didn't feel his team 'went out of the back door' or 'waived the white flag' despite the size of the challenge that faced his players against a Wolves side who competed in the Europa League last term.
