Chris Wilder is looking to make his squad stronger with 'four or five signings' before the Blades Premier League opener against Wolves later this month.

Speaking after Friday's stalemate with Preston North End, United's last game before the competitive action begins, Wilder revealed he is hoping to conclude a number of deals in the coming days.

Wilder hopes to have his internationals back by the middle of next week and acknowledges there will need to be a lot of hardwork put in at the Blades Shirecliffe training base.

Looking ahead to the Wolves clash, Wilder is confident Jack O'Connell will be fit despite not having featured in pre-season and is hopefully Oli McBurnie will be closer to full fitness having got another 45 minutes under his belt against the Lilywhites following a foot injury.
