Billy Sharp says hard work off the pitch sees him currently in the best shape of his career, whilst revealing he's raring to go when the Premier League restarts with United's trip to Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Speaking for the first time since penning a new contract until the summer of 2022, the Blades skipper says he intends to keep playing at the highest level possible for as long as he can, believing his game has improved further with the help of his team-mates, boss Chris Wilder and his coaching staff.

The 34-year-old is focusing on the 'short-term' and finishing the current season off, but insists he won't relent in his desire to remain part of United's journey under Wilder in the longer term.
