Chris Wilder says he was annoyed and saddened to learn of the racial abuse David McGoldrick received via social media following United's weekend success over Chelsea.

McGoldrick, who bagged a brace against Frank Lampard's Blues - the first top-flight goals of his career - revealed the abuse on Sunday and his manager was keen to praise his proactive actions, whilst condemning the person responsible, insisting more must be done to punish those found guilty.

Wilder added the abuse that those in the game get via social media is 'ridiculous' and concedes he isn't a fan of the use of such platforms.
