Ben Osborn admits it was 'a bit of a shock' to be thrust into Chris Wilder's starting XI at the beginning of this month, but revealed it's an opportunity he's relished.

With John Fleck sidelined since the end of June and Luke Freeman also unavailable, Osborn was drafted into the side against Tottenham and the former Nottingham Forest favourite has seized the opportunity with both hands, catching the eye with a number of impressive displays and earning rave reviews from his manager in the process.

Working hard out of possession has been the biggest demand for Osborn, who says he was running on 'pure adrenaline' against Spurs, but after 'a whirlwind couple of weeks' the 25-year-old admits it is a 'huge relief' to be playing regularly at present and he hopes to remain involved in the thick of the action between now and the end of the season.
