David McGoldrick says he always backed himself to score in the Premier League after breaking his duck with a brace in United's sensational 3-0 success against Chelsea.

The striker, who has two goals in the FA Cup this season, produced another first-class performance, capped with two well-taken goals as United went four Premier League games unbeaten.

The likable front-man commented that his celebration for the first goal was slightly understated as he waited for confirmation the goal would stand, after he had a goal chalked off by VAR against Tottenham earlier in the season.

McGoldrick thanked the manager, staff, team-mates and fans for the continued support during his wait for a deserved Premier League strike, stating he hoped the braced was reward for everyone who stuck by him during the campaign.
