Billy Sharp believes one of the main objectives from the Blades trip to Scotland this week is about ensuring the squad quick unites quickly for the challenges that await, despite a much shorter than normal pre-season schedule.

United's first friendly of the summer sees Chris Wilder's men face Dundee United on Tuesday afternoon, kick-off 2pm, just 30 days on from the final match of the 2019/20 campaign at Southampton.

But the skipper says the players are looking forward to the game having endured several rigorous sessions at Shirecliffe before heading north of the border.

On facing Micky Mellon's side, who lost 1-0 against Celtic in the SPL at the weekend, Sharp says it'll be about 'minutes' and getting back in the 'swing of things' first and foremost in a game which will be played behind closed doors at Tannadice Park.
