Chris Wilder says the management, coaching staff and players are still working hard behind the scenes, despite football in the UK been suspended because of the Covid-19 pandemic, with the Blades boss insisting he doesn't want to 'waste this time'.
Speaking via Skype with the media recently, the Gaffer remarked: "We're working away, the players are going about their business brilliantly, it's all being monitored, it's all recorded. We're talking to them, they're desperate to get back playing but they understand there's a bigger picture out there.
"We are looking through past games, analysing our performances, analysing the teams we've played and the upcoming teams we're going to face.
"We've got to be looking at targets still, but that's fluid as the financial situation may change. Looking at different aspects of the club that we can improve on and that's natural for us to do that, we're all working away and not patting ourselves on the back.
"Now is the time to kick on and not waste this time. It's easier when you're together and in the same building, but through technology we can connect with each other and we have to make sure we don't stand still."
Wilder is also is no doubt that when it is safe to do so, the 2019/20 season needs to be concluded, before a new season can commence.
He added: "100% we need to resume and play to a conclusion and there is the financial aspect too, but of course there are bigger issues. When we get to that stage people will come to the right decision, I'm sure.
"There are too many experts in the field to risk the health and safety of people, let alone professional footballers. I don't think we should be talking about starting another season when one hasn't finished. I'm sure when we get football back it'll give everyone a big morale boost."
