Alethea Paul made the move to Sheffield United last summer after joining from FA WSL side Manchester City, where the midfielder had just won the league and cup double in the club's successful youth team.

Thea did feature in the first team as a 17-year-old before an injury set her back, she was previously at Manchester United's Regional Talent Centre where she worked with the club's new assistant manager Tom Fitton.

Thea scored in Manchester City's FA Youth Cup win at St. George's Park when her side beat Birmingham City before she made the move to the Blades to play first team football last season.

The midfielder scored her first professional goal in United's 4-1 win against Aston Villa at Bramall Lane, slotting home from the penalty spot before a series of injuries affected her first season at the club, but she also scored in the team's FA Cup win against Loughborough Foxes.
