Carla Ward

Backroom Staff

Carla Ward joined Sheffield United at the end of 2017 after calling time on her playing career to become assistant manager when the club were still in the FA Women's National League.

After the Blades were awarded a FA Women's Championship spot last summer, Carla built a new squad which would go on to secure a top five spot and ended their debut season with seven consecutive victories.

Born on the Isle of Wight, Carla represented the likes of Leeds United, Lincoln City and Doncaster Rovers Belles during her career before a six-year spell at Sheffield FC where she captained the club, leaving with over 200 appearances and more than 100 goals.
