Sheffield United Women have added young defender Hannah Coan to their squad on a loan deal from FA Women's Super League side Everton until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old becomes the latest addition for the Blades who kick-started their season with an emphatic 4-1 win at London City Lionesses on Sunday.
Coan made her first team debut for the Toffees in a Continental Cup tie against Leicester City last season and could make her Blades debut against the same opposition this weekend.
A ball-playing centre-back who can play at full-back, Coan adds more depth to Neil Redfearn's side ahead of this weekend's encounter and the Blades head coach is delighted to get a late signing over the line.
"Hannah is a great addition to our squad as she's a very talented young defender with excellent technical ability and athleticism you need to play at the highest level.
"She gives us a good balance at the back as she's naturally left footed, which gives us another positive option towards selection for the season."
Coan meanwhile is looking forward to getting more first team minutes under her belt this season after joining the team for training earlier this week.
"I'm really happy. It will be good for me to get some experience. The team did so well last season and they're looking good again this season, we want to push on from that this year. The team has started this season really well with the win at the weekend, so it was good to see that."
Coan and her team mates return home to the Technique Stadium this weekend to face Leicester City on Sunday 13th September, 2pm kick-off, with the game streamed live at faplayer.thefa.com/home/womens-championship
