Sheffield United Women can confirm club captain Sophie Barker and defender Ali Johnson will be leaving the club after the completion of the 2019/20 season.
Barker made 46 appearances for the club over her two-year spell at the club and took the captain's armband last summer ahead of the new season.
The 29-year-old initially joined the Blades from Doncaster Rovers Belles when the club earned a licence for the FA Women's Championship in 2018.
A regular in the side under manager Carla Ward ever since, the Blades boss praised Barker's contribution to the team during her time at United.
"I would like to say a massive thank you to Barks. She has been instrumental in our success on the pitch this season, we thank her for efforts and I wish her all the very best with her next move."
Johnson joined the club at the start of the campaign after spells in the FA Women's Super League with Liverpool and Bristol City.
The former England Under 21 international made seven appearances over the course of the season and the manager had only praise for the full-back after an injury-hit season restricted her minutes on the pitch.
"Despite a frustrating season on the pitch, Ali's remained professional in her work off the pitch and been a credit to the squad. We wish her well and all the very best for her next move."
Sheffield United would like to wish both players all the best for the future.
