Sheffield United Women have added vastly experienced centre-back Leandra Little to their squad for the 2019/20 season.
The 34-year-old joins after a year where she was club captain for Liverpool in the FA Women's Super League and brings a huge amount of top level playing experience to the Blades.
Little made 11 appearances with the 2013 and 2014 FA WSL champions last season after a four-year spell at Doncaster Rovers Belles where she helped the side gain promotion to the FA WSL in 2015.
Little previously played with Blades head coach Carla Ward at Lincoln Ladies over 10 years ago and the pair will now be reunited at Olympic Legacy Park this season, something which Ward is thrilled about.
"We are delighted to be bringing in Leandra, she brings a huge amount of invaluable experience and quality to the team, and someone who the players will learn an awful lot from."
Little herself spoke glowingly of the club as she prepares for the start of pre-season.
"I'm delighted to have signed for the club and am really looking forward to the season ahead. When I met with Carla and she set out the vision for this squad and the club as a whole not just for this coming season but for the future it was something I wanted to be a part of.
"On meeting the girls, I feel we have a good mixture of talented youth and experienced players and I'm excited to be part of this group. We have a great pre-season schedule to help us gel as a group and set us up ready to go into the first game against Aston Villa. We have high expectations this season and I can't wait to get going now!"
