Sheffield United Women have completed the signing of Maddy Cusack who joins the Blades from Leicester City Women Football Club
The Terrier like midfielder has spent the first half of the FAWC season playing her trade at the midlands club but will now look to have a successful second half with the Blades as they aim to move up the FAWC table.
Having come through the Leicester City Regional Talent Centre, Cusack joined Nottingham Forest Ladies as a youngster before signing for Aston Villa Ladies in 2012. While at the west Midlands club, Cusack, 22, made over 70 appearances.
The former Lionesses U19 International moved from Birmingham City Women to Leicester City Women in the Summer of 2018 before being released by the Foxes in December.
Speaking to BladesTV Sheffield United Women Manager Carla Ward said: 'We are delighted to get Maddy on board. She will add a little bit of grit into the midfield and I think she will be a key player in the run in."
Cusack will wear the number 18 shirt for Sheffield United Women.
