Sheffield United will continue to show the club's backing for the FA's Girls Football Week, with a special event at Bramall Lane, prior to Saturday's home fixture against Preston North.
The participation week, which has run from Monday 23rd April and finishes on Sunday 29th April, is a national campaign to get as many girls as possible playing football.
From 11.30am, in the Compound, with access gained through the Main Car Park, there will be a number of free football attractions for girls and boys to try, including:
- A five-a-side astro-turfed pitch
- A astro-turfed speed cage
- A head tennis arena
- A keepy-up challenge area
- A penalty shootout on astro-turf
The Sheffield United Ladies first-team and some of our development squad players will be there and there will also be a face-painter in attendance, so pop along, show off your skills and have fun!
Operations Director Dave McCarthy remarked: "We thought it would be fun to bring in some great equipment for our supporters to try out.
"We really hope the fans can take some time to come and join in before heading into the stadium for the game."
