Now in her fourth season at United and a highly influential and respected creative player. Having previously played for hometown Scunthorpe Ladies, Sophie signed for United in the summer of 2014.
That first season saw United relegated from the FA Premier Northern but Sophie was one of the positives as she was the team's top scorer with nine and voted both Players' Player and Manager's Player of the Season for 2014/15. Her contribution in 2015/16 was invaluable with 16 goals and 12 assists in 21 league games. Naturally more of a goal provider due to her speed and intelligent creative play, she can clearly finish too. Now living in Sheffield, Sophie, who is actually a Grimsby Town fan tied the knot with partner Ben in the summer of 2016.
Last season Sophie hit 18 and numerous assists as United took the title with Sophie taking over the captaincy when Rosa Neary missed the latter half through injury.
