Tania Marsden

Tania has been a prolific goalscorer over the years for United since making the switch from Sheffield Wednesday Ladies in the summer of 2009. Her strong running and powerful shot helped her fire 81 goals in 103 United games by the end of the 2013 season. Her best season was the 2012 season with 27 goals as United won the League and Cup double.

More recently family and work commitments had restricted Tania's ability to play, plus running her own junior girls team. Last season, however, Tania returned full time to the team and hit 20 goals in United's title winning season. Highlights included four against Ruddington, an outrageous shot from wide right to put United ahead at Derby in the WFA Cup and reaching 100 United career goals. Ending the season on 108 in all and passing Chez Mawhood's final tally means Tania is now second only to Jodie Snelson in United's all time goal scorer list.
