Rosa has overcome more injuries than most to become the current team captain and both 'player's player' and 'manager's player' of the season for 2016. Rosa joined United Community Juniors aged 8, playing through until aged 16 as a right back. In her last season she suffered a broken hip in a game but, undaunted, made a full recovery to move to the United Academy, playing for two seasons. On graduation Rosa rejoined United in the spring of 2008 playing 32 league games to the end of the 2010 season the highlight of which was winning the 2009 League Cup Final. One of five United players to take up scholarships in the US in 2010, Rosa moved to Bridgeport University, Connecticut, but injury struck again, though, as she had to have surgery on a serious back injury which limited her playing time stateside. On returning she gained an undergraduate degree in Psychology at Northumbria University. Rosa rejoined United again in the summer of 2015 playing 20 league games in her first season back. A Blade fan, Rosa is one of the most respected players in the squad with her excellent attitude and calm displays each week at the heart of the defence.
