Midfielder Blacker is another among several members of the under 21s to have risen up through the Shirecliffe ranks.

First playing as a centre-forward, Blacker has been utilised as a midfielder due to his reading of the game and calmness on the ball, able to play more defensive and get forward and start attacks.

He became a regular starter for the under 21s in the second half of last season.
