Popular wing-back Enda Stevens has signed a new long-term contract to extend his stay at Bramall Lane until 2023.
The Republic of Ireland international has been in excellent form this season, one of United's most consistent performers in the Premier League to date.
The 29-year-old has evolved under boss Chris Wilder and his staff, having joined the Blades on a free transfer from Portsmouth in the summer of 2017, having just won the League Two title.
The former Aston Villa man was a key member of United's promotion-winning side last season and this term he has been a near ever-present for the Blades and a regular starter for his country when available.
Stevens has excelled in the top-flight, netting two goals in 28 appearances, including a goal of the month contender against Brighton and Hove Albion last month.
On the announcement of his new deal, Stevens told www.sufc.co.uk: "I'm obviously delighted. It's something I've wanted do get done for a while now, so I'm just pleased it's finally over the line.
"As a group we've built on the success of last season, but we don't want to stand still. We want to continue to do well and finish as high in the table as possible.
"The manager is building something special here. He's keeping the core group together and now adding to it to make us even stronger and everyone is happy to be involved in the journey."
Boss Chris Wilder added: "Enda has become one of the top players in the division, in his position, in our opinion, and he deserves rewarding with a new contract, that's what we're trying to do at the moment.
"His performances have been outstanding for both club and country and he is an important and integral part of our team in and out of possession."
