The United skipper is the first current Blades player to appear on the 'One Of Our Own' after previous episodes featured Tony Currie, Chris Wilder and Chris Morgan. All of which are still available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts & YouTube.
Billy opens up on a number of topics during the latest episode such as his first spell at Sheffield United, turning down Norwich, Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves to return to the Blades, working under Chris Wilder and what makes the current squad of players so special.
Speaking about his second return, the Blades No.10 talks about knowing straight away that he wanted to return "(Then Leeds boss) Uwe Roer pulled me aside in Austria and said 'Sheffield United have shown interest' I was like 'Brilliant, when can I fly home?'
"That was it, I knew. Nigel Adkins, who I know gets a lot of stick but he's a good guy and it just didn't work out brought me back meaning I dropped from the Premier League to League One in a season, as it was and I had no problems whatsoever doing that. I just had a good feeling about it.
Billy also opens up about his time at Doncaster and discusses the battle he and his family had to go through when they tragically lost their son in October 2011.
