John Fleck scored the only goal as the Blades concluded a training camp in Scotland with a victory over Heart of Midlothian.
In a training game at Oriam, Scotland's national performance centre near Edinburgh, United's players accumulated valuable minutes.
Like Tuesday's abandoned fixture at Dundee United, the rain fell persistently but the Blades started well and took just seven minutes to open the scoring. Baldock advanced down the right and his cross was held up and laid off by Sharp for the the advancing FLECK to sidefoot past goalkeeper Zlemal.
United dominated possession but chances were limited - an unmarked Egan could not keep a Norwood corner down and Sharp, on the volley, directed a Stevens cross over.
Hearts made changes at the break, whilst the Blades made a total of ten substitutions but not until after the hour.
Hearts had a couple of half-chances but the Blades remained on top and enjoyed the majority of the ball. Sharp's bullet-header from Norwood's cross found the target off the underside of the crossbar but the Blades skipper was adjudged offside.
On 73 minutes Callum Robinson evaded a number of challenges but his shot was saved by the goalkeeper's legs and a quick Osborn free-kick saw Mousset's effort cleared off the line.
Teenager Antwoine Hackford went close with his second touch just after coming on following a Regan Slater cross and the final chance saw Zak Brunt knock down Jack Rodwell's cross in the box but Mousset blazed over.
