Chris Wilder says he and the players want to make sure they do all they can to go up as champions.

If you beat Stoke on Sunday and Norwich lose against Aston Villa, then United will finish top of the Sky Bet Championship, something that has ensured the focus has been retained this week.

The manager said: "The players were in after a day off and we've worked extremely hard, we want to finish the season off in style, we don't want there to be a missed opportunity if Norwich slip.

"We've got a tough game too, but we've had this pressure on us for quite a while now. We've got an obligation to our supporters who have sold out our allocation and the beam back has sold well too.

"We're just going to go for the win, regardless of what's happening elsewhere."

Wilder continued: "Our opponents on Sunday will recognise and realise how difficult and what a powerful division the Championship is, they will now know there aren't any guarantees.

"We've prepared for Stoke and their squad is full of extremely quality, but it hasn't gone for them.

"Nathan (Jones) is a very talented manager though, he turned Luton Town round quickly and in an impressive manner and he'll get it right at Stoke, they will be right up their going into next year with him at the helm."
