Chris Wilder has been named Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month for February.
United won four times in five games last month, including victories over promotion rivals Middlesbrough and West Brom.
Speaking after receiving the award, Wilder remarked: "I accept this award on behalf of the staff, I've got a great staff here and the players have gone out there and produce the performances.
"It's quite ironic we've got this award on the back of a 3-3 draw at Aston Villa. When we look back, that was a big reaction to a real disappointment.
"We take these awards, because we've had a great month and we've overcome some stiff challenges both home and away.
"So to come out of February with 13 points entering the business end of the season is fantastic."
The other nominees were
Daniel Farke (Norwich City)
A 3-1 win at title rivals Leeds set the tone for another breathless month of entertainment from his side, which included a 3-2 comeback win over Bristol City and a sweeping 4-0 victory at Bolton. It all added up to 12 points from five games.
Alex Neil (Preston North End)
Unlucky not to have been nominated before, Neil has improved his side month on month. He then enriched it with some astute January signings. With 11 more points from five unbeaten games, the play-offs may be within reach.
Steve Bruce (Sheffield Wednesday)
Wednesday had to wait for him to take charge at Hillsborough but it was certainly worth the delay. Batteries fully charged, Bruce inspired his new team to 12 points from six unbeaten games, which included four clean sheets.
Winners will be announced on Friday 8th March.
The judging panel comprised former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports' EFL League expert Don Goodman; EFL Senior Media Manager Rob Meaden, League Managers' Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Ivor Davies.
