Billy Sharp insists the Blades will not take a backwards step at Hillsborough on Monday evening.
The skipper remarked: "The last two games at Bramall Lane have been edgy and not had any goals, which will have been disappointing for the fans.
"But we go to Hillsborough with a lot of belief from the last time we were there. We've got special memories from that game, it'll give us confidence.
"It is Sheffield Wednesday though, the fans will want the bragging rights, every game is a big one, but this one has that extra edge, everyone wants to play and we want all three points."
Sharp added: "It's another game, but it isn't, it's against our biggest rivals and all the matters is the result, the performance will go out of the window.
"We strive for our performance to be high, but in games like that it is a bit different and all that matters is beating Wednesday.
"It was a frustrating night back in November because we were bar far the better team, we had a penalty saved and credit to Wednesday they defended well.
"But we will be going to Hillsborough to try and win the game, because we always go for the win as we've proved throughout the season."
