Ollie Norwood heaped the praise on his team-mates, following the victory over Brentford.
The stand-in skipper said: "I remember Flecky blocked one towards the end, having run 20 or 30 yards to slide and make the block.
"That summed it up. Jack (O'Connell) has headed everything that has come at us, John (Egan) has been a brick wall all season, Cranie comes on and does a job, Bash runs all day.
"You'd have to go a very long way to find a group like this, it's a special group of players and staff that we've got here."
Norwood added: "We just wanted to get bodies behind the ball to stop the flow, but when David (McGoldrick) scores the second goal it was game over, they didn't have it in them to come back.
"We're in the mix, there is nine to go and we can look forward to and enjoy going to Leeds on Saturday, if we win that it's all to play for.
"You can have as much possession as you like, we're together and we stuck at it. The second took an age to hit the back of the net and it's what David deserves."
