Chris Wilder is expecting another closely fought encounter when United lock horns with Bristol City at Bramall Lane on Saturday.
Speaking ahead of the Robins arriving in South Yorkshire, Wilder commented: "Every game we've had against Bristol City has been tight, even the one at the end of last season when we raced into a three-goal lead by half-time.
"They came roaring back in the second-half and it was close in the end. The one here last season epitomised many home games where we were dominant from the off, but we're playing against good teams and good players individually and collectively.
Wilder added: "They don't achieve what they have in this division and the cup run last season without being consistent in their approach, from the manager, to the staff and through to the players."
"I don't expect anything different on Saturday afternoon. Right through the division there are a load of teams who have something to play for, barring one or two perhaps."
