Billy Sharp is focused on what the Blades can achieve this season not personal goals, despite becoming the leading English league goalscorer this century on New Year's Day.
His strike at Wigan was his 220th goal in the 21st century a tally that has seen him overtake former Southampton colleague Rickie Lambert.
But Sharp continues to look at the bigger picture. He remarked: "I'm proud of the record and glad it's happened straight away instead of dragging out, but I've just got to keep scoring goals.
"Hopefully I can score more goals this season help Sheffield United win promotion."
The skipper added: "It didn't go to plan in my other two spells, but I'm enjoying every single minute now and if I can keep scoring goals, there is no reason why we can't achieve something this season.
"I feel as fit and as strong as I ever have done, I'm getting better with each game. We have to be fit with the way we play."
