Ollie Norwood believes the Blades are capable of handling the pressure of a promotion challenge in the coming weeks and months.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's home clash against QPR, Norwood is bullish about United's chances of playing the top-flight next term.

He commented: "Since I came through the door, we've been in the top six, so all I want to do is help get the club promoted.

"I want the manager to lead this team to promotion and as a player you want the pressure of playing in big games, being where we are brings that pressure."

The influential midfielder added: "You want to be playing in games that always mean something, I wouldn't want to be sitting in mid table, when the season is over in March.

"I won't lie, footballers do look at tables and think what if we win this, what if they lose that, the fans do the same, but it's in our hands as players.

"The goal this season is to get promoted, I'm not afraid to say, can we catch the top two, why not."
