Chris Wilder insists it'll be business as usual for United when they face Aston Villa at Villa Park on Friday evening.
The Blades boss is refusing to get caught up in all the hype surrounding his team as the Sky Bet Championship enters the final 16 games of the season.
He remarked: "You can look at it right the way, just before Christmas we were well of it.
"But I use Hull City as the example, they were looking behind them and thinking about a possible relegation battle after they'd played us.
"They have the ability, good players and a good manager though to go and win games of football, they five or six games and now they are looking upwards."
Wilder continued: "There are going to be twists and turns, I still don't think anyone will run away with it. There are a lot of positive teams at the top, a few who have to get up really.
"There are others with little to play for, we've got everything to play for but there isn't a gun to our head to get promoted.
"That won't dampen the desire amongst the players and management to be successful though and our point at Norwich looks a really good one now, following their standout win at Leeds.
"It's difficult for people to predict results in this division, so you have to take care of your own business really, I'd be absolutely delighted to get a positive result at Villa Park."
