John Egan is urging the Blades to seize the opportunity dangling in front of them, when Ipswich Town arrive at Bramall Lane on Saturday evening.
A win over the Tractor Boys would put United on the brink of promotion to the Premier League, but Egan insists the players can't look beyond the challenge that will be posed by Paul Lambert's side.
He remarked: "It's been a normal week, having played Friday and Monday over Easter.
"We had a recovery session on Tuesday and were given a day off on Wednesday.
"We had two big results which were important, and those two victories have put us in a very good position."
Egan added: "The closer you get to the finishing line the more you think about, but once we get in the building, we just carry on with our business in the same way.
"I'm sure we'll prepare for Saturday as much as another game we've had all season, there are outside influences of course, but we know we've got a job to do."
