Chris Wilder insists United's outlook won't change, despite entering the business end of the season with the stakes so high.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's trip to Preston North End, Wilder remarked: "We've gone for everything all season, we've gone for everything since I walked through the door, so nothing is going to change with seven games to go.

"My opinion of this season is it's being an outstanding one, can we make it a truly remarkable and memorable one, that's the target we've got.

"It's an achievement to be in the top six, seeing all those clubs behind us scrapping for a shot at a play-off place, we're sitting on 74 points."

Wilder continued: "Norwich have won their last seven games which is remarkable at such a pressure point in the season, our form since Christmas to put ourselves in this position has been fantastic.

"But if a team at the top wins five from seven in the remaining weeks, then in my opinion they deserve to achieve what they are striving to achieve.

"If we maintain our current form then we will give ourselves an unbelievable chance of being involved in that decision at the end of the season."
