Chris Wilder has revealed that he is pleased with his summer transfer window activity.
The captures of Conor Washington and Marvin Johnson on Friday, with free agent Martin Cranie added on Saturday, takes the total of incomings to nine in this window.
"It has been a tough last couple of days," he said: "I've been involved in management for about 17-18 years and we've had to work hard. We've had a couple of disappointments but it has been a rollercoaster of a window.
"We've had a decent window, overall. We have strengthened, we have a good balance and different types of players at the top of the pitch and, I must say, we have good lads who want to be here and want to do well for the football club.
"We now have to keep progressing, we have put ourselves in a good position after six games. We need to stay calm as we are playing well, we are staying humble and we just want to keep moving forward."
Next up for Wilder and his team is Matt Roney's testimonial fixture at Sheffield FC on Tuesday evening, where Paul Coutts is set to make his comeback after injury.
