Marvin Johnson is confident the Blades have enough ability within the ranks to enjoy a 'great season'.
The 27-year-old arrived at the Lane from Middlesbrough on a season-long loan on the final day of the summer transfer window and has enjoyed settling into his new surroundings in the last couple of weeks.
He remarked: "It's been a bonus settling in during the international break as you get a few extra days getting to know the boys when there is no game.
"It was very impressive what we did against Aston Villa, but I know how we play having played against them previously and seeing them since then.
"You can see what the Gaffer wants from us as players and I'm sure we'll hit the ground running again following the break."
On what he can bring to Chris Wilder's squad, he added: "The Gaffer wants me to be myself. He's seen me play, he knows what I'm about and he just wants me to get my head down and work hard.
"I can operate anywhere down the left, I'll bring pace to the team and offer a different attacking option.
"We're a team here though and hopefully we can enjoy a great season. It's a fresh start for me, things change overnight in football, but the most important thing is you have to be playing."
