Chris Basham is backing the Blades to bounce from Saturday's loss at Bristol City.

Speaking ahead of the midweek encounter with Birmingham City, Basham remarked: "We're disappointed with the result on Saturday, we created chances and played well, but the be all and end all is the three points we lost.

"A draw would have been a fair result, but we got sucker punched like we did to Norwich the other week.

"We'll take it on the chin though and go again on Wednesday, that's the good thing, we're not waiting long for another game."

The versatile performer added: "Every defeat hurts obviously, but we'd won four on the bounce before Saturday and we'll go again against Birmingham on Wednesday, we remain in confident mood.

"The division is different this season, it's not got a Wolves or Fulham, it's really competitive and a lot of teams are fighting for the same thing.

"The league table levels out around Christmas time, but at the moment there are a few surprise results and everyone is battling for those early points."
