Sheffield United are joining others around the globe to support World Mental Health Day today (10th October).
All of us are aware of ups and downs and it is important that we appreciate that our mental health is as important as our physical health.
Richard Stearman, in his role of club ambassador for this season's EFL charity, MIND, says: "As footballers we know it is important that we are mentally tough, however, every year one in four adults and children will have mental health issues. These conditions can have a profound effect on individuals and those around them. Many will not seek help because of the stigma attached to mental health issues.
"Today is World Mental Health Day and all of us at Sheffield United want to join with the EFL charity MIND and the various charities working in the area of mental health to make sure that more people have a better understanding of mental health so those with problems are more likely to seek help.
"A healthy state of mind helps with overall well-being so let us make people aware of just how important our state of mind is. Just talking to someone can really help."
