Enda Stevens insists the Blades will continue to focus on themselves, as they look to build on an impressive start to the season.
Speaking ahead of the first home in the space of five days, the Republic of Ireland international believes United are a match for anyone on their day in the Sky Bet Championship.
He remarked: "It's still early days in what is a long season and there is still a lot of football to be played, our main focus remains ourselves, not Stoke City or anyone else.
"We know if we're right at it we give ourselves a fantastic opportunity to get a result."
Stevens added: "The new players come in and get to work straight away, I was the same when I signed, I quickly got on the right page and knew what the manager wanted.
"It's all about the changing room and the type of players the manager signs, they are all hunger and they fit in and get onboard with what we're trying to achieve.
"The competition for places is healthy, the manager wants headaches. He needs players he can reply on to perform, but he also wants options to change it too."
