Kieron Freeman enjoyed his time away with Wales during the recent international break.

And despite not featuring in the victory over the Republic Of Ireland, the 26-year-old was more than happy to be involved with his country.

He remarked: "It was a really good experience. I didn't manage to get on the pitch, but it was nice to be called up and be recognised for how I've performed with United.

"I know a few of the boys, I've played with Tom Lawrence in the U21s and obviously Brooksy and Ben (Woodburn) were there too."

Freeman added: "Ryan (Giggs) said he was glad to have me on-board and hopefully I can replicate my club form for Wales when I get the chance.

"I had a spa day booked with my partner, but thankfully Giggsy got me out of it, we've got a gift voucher to go again sometime though!

"It's a real honour to be called up, having played at various youth levels, it's over four years since I last played for Wales though so hopefully I get selected next time too."
